I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul, and you have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; you have set my feet in a broad place. —Psalm 31:7
Let’s close our week of focusing on God as our joy by rehearsing some of the reasons we have to rejoice.
Read Psalm 30:1-12.
Look at some of the reasons we have to rejoice found in Psalm 30:
- healed me
- restored life to me from the pit
- favor for a lifetime
- weeping but joy in morning
- made me stand strong
- turned my mourning into dancing
- clothed me with gladness
Spend some time praising God for being your reason to rejoice! Reflect on the reasons we’ve soaked in from Psalm 30, and any others that come to mind.
It’s my prayer that through this series we will, “from the rising of the sun to its setting”, focus on and praise our amazing God! We’ll take the Word for the day and think about it, ponder it, pray it and practice it. We’ll allow it to really SOAK into our hearts and lives. And then we’ll SHINE — boast, rave, praise and celebrate God’s presence in our lives, reflecting Jesus to those around us.
